Marble Arch Energy Network (MAEN) is a proposed fifth-generation energy network in the Marble Arch area, currently bounded by Oxford Street to the south and Edgware Road to the West. It will provide heating and cooling to commercial and residential properties. MAEN aims to be operational by 2030.
Following a pre-market engagement webinar in March and an in-person event in May, MAEN is now entering the procurement stage. We are issuing a Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ) as the first step to identify a suitable partner to work alongside The Portman Estate – the project sponsor – in the development, delivery and long-term operation of MAEN.
The PSQ asks about the respondents’ current and historical activity and does not request any specific proposals around the design or delivery of the MAEN scheme. We will expect a more detailed response at the Invitation to Tender (ITT) stage. The deadline for response is 5th June.
